How much does a kitchen cost from Home Design Co?
Although every space is unique, on average, the cost of demolishing, preparing the room, and installing a new kitchen with mid-market appliances in a typical Australian home will range from $15,000 to $30,000.
Can I install a new kitchen myself?
It’s important to note that installing your own cabinetry requires some level of experience with specific tools.
While some aspects of installation can be easily managed by those with basic skills, it’s important to seek professional assistance from licensed professionals.
If you don’t feel comfortable installing cabinets yourself, don’t hesitate to let our team know and we’ll happily connect you with one of our customer recommended installers to handle the job with precision and expertise.
Will my kitchen come with benchtops?
We provide expert guidance in selecting the perfect benchtop that meets your style, budget, and functional needs.
Laminate benchtops are shipped with your order and can be installed with your cabinetry.
Stone benchtops can take a little longer. While skilled stone masons will install stone benchtops after a check-measure visit once your cabinetry is in. Keep in mind that stone benchtops may add 10 days to your kitchen renovation timeline.
Can I keep my existing appliances?
While existing appliances can be reused, many renovators opt to replace them due to their relatively short lifespan and the high cost of trades involved in disconnecting and reconnecting.
How can I work out the best layout for my kitchen?

How long will it take my kitchen to be delivered?
- Sprint Range kitchens: our speediest solution! You can receive your order in just 10-12 business days from the final design approval. If you need your cabinetry sooner than this, speak with us, and we will see if we can put the cabinetry elves to work! 😉
- Savvy Range kitchens: available for delivery within 10-14 business days from design approval.
- Style Pro Range kitchens: available in roughly 6-8 weeks depending on your preferred door finish and profile.

How do you weigh up against Kaboodle, Ikea, and other flat pack cabinetry?
Although it’s not possible to review every single configuration available, we’ve conducted several like-for-like comparisons and found that our kitchens are typically either on par or up to 5% more affordable. One of the benefits of choosing our cabinets is that they come pre-assembled, unlike flatpacks, and we use premium European hardware for exceptional quality. Anyone who’s assembled a flatpack cabinet or bookshelf before knows how time and cost-efficient pre-assembly is.
